Summer means festival season in our neck of the woods. From the relaxing three-day weekend of Memorial Day in Boalsburg all the way through the last stretch of summer vacation at the Centre County Grange Fair, Centre County offers plenty of opportunities to sneak away from home for a little R&R. We have plenty of excuses to get away on our Happy Valley Bucket List and our official Summer Festival page.
When you’re coming to our region you’ll need somewhere to stay. With comp hotel parking, resort fees and Wi-Fi the price you see, is the price you get. Booking a travel package takes some of the cost or planning out of any visit. Find where you want to stay by neighborhood and enjoy
North of Campus
With quick access to I-99 and 322, the northern half of State College offers many conveniences you’re used to including Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, grocery stores and more. Local favorites such as Hi-Way Pizza, Otto’s, The Field Burger & Tap and others will be a great place for lunch or dinner.
East/South of Campus
The southern half of State College offers a little less traffic than the north, but also with many of the amenities, including Nittany Mall. Local favorites for dinner include Home D Pizzeria, Happy Valley Brewing Company, Harrison's Wine Grill & Catering or you could make the short drive to Boalsburg for the historic Duffy’s Boalsburg Tavern. To east is easy access to major highways and just a stone’s throw from campus and the sports complex.

Downtown State College/Campus
The Penn State campus, restaurants, retail shopping and several nightlife opportunities will be within steps of your room. There are metered spots (25 cents for 15 minutes) and also parking decks throughout the downtown area, which makes parking easy. The Penn State campus is located just across College Avenue from downtown, which makes it a hot spot for student living and businesses.
Outside of State College
If you’re looking for peace and quiet that is a bit off of the beaten path you might be best served to stay at one of our properties in our surrounding communities. In smaller towns such as Boalsburg and Bellefonte expect a Mom-and-Pop speed with less of the crowds like you’re more apt to find right in State College.
