Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte the spider, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman — she will create a “miracle.” Spinning the words “Some Pig” in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship. Presented by Theatre Works USA.
13 is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it. When his parents get divorced and he’s forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin Evan’s life, and his only friend, Patrice, won’t talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors. Directed by The State Theatre’s own Richard Biever. Choreographed by Jill A. Brighton.

Join us for Nittany Theatre Company’s world premiere of the new musical comedy, The Royal Gilberts, written by Sterling Sax, and featuring the music of W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. Mrs. Ethel Throckmorton, the great patron of the world-renowned Royal Gilbert & Sullivan Company, has died. Her dashing playboy nephew Robert Throckmorton is set to inherit the estate, which includes Shady Acres Retirement Home, the residence of the last remaining members of the well-seasoned Royal Gilbert & Sullivan Players. But the devil is in the details for Mr. Throckmorton — his aunt’s dying wish was that, to receive his inheritance, he first must stage a final showing of The Royal Gilberts. Giving a new twist to the youthful energy of “let’s put on a show,” the senior citizens of Shady Acres prepare themselves (and their accommodating audience) for an evening of fun and hilarity, performing Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance.
